Case Study: Enverus

Situation:

Enverus is the most trusted knowledge and analytics platform in the energy industry, serving customers across the oil and gas, financial institutions, power, utilities and renewables segments. With backing from global private equity firm Hellman & Friedman, Enverus provides a single source platform for the management, development, and acquisition of the entire energy value chain.


Problem:

While Enverus has an existing, robust team of product marketers, the scope and breadth of the business often results in the need to support priority projects that go beyond the bandwidth or current scope of the PMM organization. In addition, addressing these major corporate initiatives often requires a proven process that guides the full PMM team in creating segment-specific deliverables in a standardized, streamlined manner. In this particular instance, Enverus wished to revisit its segment-level messaging across all business units, and needed to deliver in-market results across the business within six months.


Solution:

The Enverus team reached out to Fluvio to help establish, accelerate, and guide the project. In partnership with cross-functional leaders and in concert with project management, a Fluvio Senior Consultant and Principal Consultant embedded with Enverus. The scope of the project included 1) defining and proving out the process, and 2) executing research and messaging definition for priority segments.

With the successful, on-time delivery of new and completed messaging frameworks, buyer personas, and narrative decks, across the business, the Fluvio team’s remit expanded. The engagement quickly pivoted to support the creation of compelling messaging, collateral, and enablement to reinforce Enverus’s value throughout the entire customer journey for the enterprise Operator segment.

What problems were you encountering that led you to believe a product marketing consultant could help?

With several high-visibility, high-priority projects on our plate, our product marketing teams needed a partner to both streamline execution across the function, as well as get involved at the ground level and push us over the line.
